By tongue in cheek I basically mean authors who know that their stories would be impossible in RL, and who are usually having fun with the cliche. This opposed to the many, many, writers who actually seem to believe that this is how sex works. *head desk*

You can usually tell the difference by the quality of the writing. ;)
