Those memories how I treasure them

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now,(even if we don't speak often or ever) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.
It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your LJ and see what your friends come up with.
CSI you FAIL as a fandom!!!
PSYCHIC POWERS! HUMOROUSLY REFERENCED PSYCHIC POWERS!!! Your show has CANON humorously psychic powers! And not only can I not find ANY clip outtakes on Youtube. There doesn't in fact seem to be ANY fiction that ran with this like Usain Bolt!!!
(also every single character bio of Greg Sanders, on every website, appears to be the same one pasted and copied. How lazy can you get?!?)
So in conclusion; You FAIL as a fandom CSI! FAIL!
Palin
Now there's Palin. Big strong woman in politics, that definitely managed to charm me a bit, but whom to my great horror is pro-life. Now I'll freely admit that I admire her for sticking with her beliefs when she had to face that choice herself, but the thing is: Will she now get to make that choice for other women too? How much power does a VP have anyway? How far do her views on this go or McCains for that matter?
A pro-life friend stated that a pro-choice VP would be just as upsetting for a lot of pro-life women as Palin is to me right now. But the thing is: Under no circumstance could a pro-choice politician make me give up my baby. That choice is mine. A pro-life politician on the other hand WANTS to take that choice away from me! Now honestly I don't know if I would have an abortion if I got pregnant at this point. Probably not. But that doesn't mean I'll give up my right to choose!
You could argue that this isn't my problem, since I'm not American, but here's to a little solidarity amongst women.
Discusion welcome as long as it's civil. Otherwise I'll be closing this one down.

I'm pretty sure it's someone on my Flist and I get happy everytime I see it.
Loose 10 kilos and what do you get for it?!?
I did get a fancy meal and a couple of drinks out of it, but still. I'm 25! What the hell?
euro Soccer
I was rooting for Russia, I really was. Not because I particularly favor Russia over Spain, but because a Dutchman is training them and I do have some national pride. But my God, was that an embarresing display.
Even I with no knowledge and only a marginal interest in soccer, could tell they sucked harder then a black hole! Sorry Saint Gus, it seems God has forsaken you... I hope Poetin was watching though ;).
And I still have the Orange motor´s victory over Italy! 3-0! Whohooo!

Someone posted a vital lifequestion the other day: Are you a ninja, or a pirate. Seeing how I bought all four seasons of SGA (and I´m pretty sure 4 isn´t even supposed to be out yet!), season 2 of Life on Mars and just for shits and giggles, the new Indiana Jones on DVD for under 20 euros, I guess I´m a pirate...
In my defense. I´ve been living in Peru for 5 months now and I genuinly don´t think they HAVE legal copies!
Still: 20 euros. I could barely get three flicks from the bargain bin for that back home, let alone a boxset. Hmmm boxset.

I´ve been watching Torchwood online lately. Last season was such a misserable mess, but I´m really enjoying the hell out of it! Even Ianto has suddenly gotten funny and entertaining. WTF?

Things I'll have to go without:
- My daily Internet fix
- Fanfiction in large quantities (I loaded up my ipod with podfic... don't judge me!)
- Friends and Family (..wait, they're my third consideration!?!? That's fucked up! ;)
- Long, luxurious showers.
- Central heating
- Most of my clothes (I send half of wardrobe off to charity and it's still piling from my closet. All those clothes and nothing to wear)
- SGA, Heroes and Avatar when they start again (who knows. Maybe they have nerds in Cusco as well)
- Buttermilk (that's a biggie. I live on the stuff!)
- Being able to communicate properly with people.
Things I'll gain:
- New interesting people
- New culture
- New Language
- INCA RUINS!
- And hey, they have cinema in English. Whooo!
To all you Atlanta folk. This time tomorrow I'll be skulking in your backyard...
Amnesty 2007
Spend the day writing. Then I got stuck, so I did a little reading, only then I got an idea and I figured, just a little drabble to get going again. Only the drabble became a ficlet and then I got frustrated that I failed at drabbles, so I wrote a real drabble to proof I could.
I'm having a ball with amnesty, but seriously. Must go to bed.

Title: Del.icio.us R us
Rating: G
AN: I started wondering how Teyla kept track of all those people and gate adresses. Especially with all the cullings. Clearly Pegasus works on some kind of social network...
For the 7 deadly sins challenge: lust
Title: Promiscuous
Rating: PG13
Warning: Spoilers for S4.
Summary: “No, no, no, he won’t do at ALL. Check out his flabby ass. You need something firm to grab hold off.”
Disclaimer: I don't own SGA or any featured Internet services, I'm just playing with them.
And on a different note. I promise I'll finish that gang bang aftermath piece. Definitely before I leave for Peru.

Does anyone have any pointers?

Why I am like a little kid:
1) Happy meal toys make me happy.
2) Cartoons are made of win.
Why I am like a teenager:
1) I still try to get out of my homework.
2) I have teen crushes on celebrities (which oddly, I never had when I was a teen).
Why I am like a young adult:
1) They let me drive, vote, do drugs and get laid.
2) I get to live all on my lonesome, even if my place is a pigsty.
Why I am like a middle-aged person:
1) I'd just as soon lounge on my couch then go out.
2) I go to the theater and museums (which plenty of young adults I know do, but... well so do my parents).

Do I take my ipod?
The idea of taking my favorite music appeals to me. And then there's the fact that I could load up podfic to help me past my fanfic cravings.
Best line you'll read this year
Beckett was sincerely impressed, "Good job Major! You neutralized Rodney like Mr. Spock would have, smoothly and efficiently."
Oh Anne Isabelle. How is your fic so unintentionally hilarious?!?
But it's the SEQUEL to THAT FIC! (we've waited a year, hello!)
Well SEQUEL!!!
And if you still don't get it, I'm talking about Replaced & Conspiricies Investigations and Exploration Oh My by Reflex (second one co-written with Laryn) Against all probibilaty the second installment is even cooler and more clever then the first one!
Viva Secularitat! Viva! Viva!
Mind we're talking about a Christian church. Somehow I doubt that freedom of religion would hold up if a nearby Mosque tried sending their muezzin up the minarets with a loudspeaker.
Dear government, I get that religion is kind of a hot item right now, with all those scary Muslims around, but could you please tone down ramming your Jewish/Christian identity down my throat?!? I don't have a Jewish/Christian heritage! I come from a long line of commies and socialists. Get my grannie talking about the pope and all you get are swears. Bonifatius in Dokkum? THOSE were MY ancestors!
Here's a heritage for you: Secularity!
Wow, The Hague's been pissing me of more then I realized
Songfic, poetry and what if...?
Song fic: Like Nansi_Alexander so eloquently said in this awesome badfic entry; "It is also NOT a song fic, even though there are some song lyrics here, but that is not because they are like, SINGING, it is because they are about Best Friends which is what John and Rodney are, only not exactly, because they are totally soul mates only I couldn't find a song about soul mates so I had to use this one, which kind of sucks, only not because I guess they're friends too."
That sums it up quite nicely.
Poetry fic: There are only two characters in my fandoms I can easily buy writing poetry. Spike and Sheppard!
...Sheppard you say? Look it's obvious. He's totally, secretly a fourteen year old goth girl, who can't talk about his feelings, so he writes these great angsty poems in his secret diary, that no one ever gets to read, except maybe Rodney when they're both drunk. Only Rodney totally mocks him for it, so then John has to listen to black sabbath and cut himself... What? That could totally happen!
But really, I'll belief a lot if you sell it right. And If you do insist on having your characters act like beatniks, just tell us they're doing it. There's no need to post the actual poems, because I sure as hell ain't gonna read them (but I will concede I'm biased, cuz well... I just don't care for poetry)
The What if Series rewrites: This trope I don't really despise as such. It just keeps disappointing me in crushing ways. Usually the authors have a really promising plot bunny. Adam Pierson is found to be immortal and send to Sunnydale to help the slayer! Rodney is a fucked up Sentinel oh noes! Sheppard can whistle the national anthem through his nose!
The fun in this trope is to see how things will turn out now, with these radically different characters and backgrounds. And again and again the answer is... exactly the same fucking way. For some reason the authors never seem brave enough to stop slavishly following the episode plots. The worst of these offenders even seem to be copying lines directly from transcripts!
Nothing changes. Their cool revamped characters hardly make a difference, even when they clearly should. And it pisses me off, because the little bits of original fiction that do sneak in there tend to be awesome.
Seriously, If I want to read a what if story where nothing fucking changes, I'll just pick my Wicked Willow series of the shelf.
