Hi, I'm noodling through older posts on the McKay-Sheppard comm & wanted to say I like this POV So Much!!! It squicks me to see so many McShep fics where the dom/top--either one, I don't care--casually drags the sub/bottom away from work for a scene, or humiliates him in public or at least in front of subordinates (when they aren't personally involved in their power dynamic), or otherwise affects his ability to work & lead as you said. That's so important to John & Rodney, both canonically & as a bedrock of their characters. Unless it's a so-BDSM-it's-an-AU fic, xanthelj's Coming Home for example, you just can't mess with their basic duties, sense of responsibility or expectations for respect from all Lanteans. (For example, Coming Home irritates me but it's internally consistent; General & Dr. Sheppard, on the other hand, just glosses over this point & pisses me off no end thereby. I loved that little mention of Corporal Angeles in the mess hall, BTW.... :: grin :: )

So, did you ever write more of this story??
