Honestly, the fairy tale that I think fits Ronon best is Bearskin, and not just because of the wander-seven-years trope. (I've actually pondered a Ronon/Keller fic that would fuse Bearskin and Beauty and the Beast, but have never got around to hammering out the details.)
John always makes me think of this one fairy tale I can't remember the name of, but it involves a magic cloak, two witches and cabbage that turns people into donkeys. Mostly because of the "never see it coming" aspect of it all.
