A couple of weeks ago:
Old lady in an ill fitting jacket: "I don't know. I thought shoulder pads were out of fashion."
Me: "..Not if you had polio."

When she called me today I was a little worried that she regretted buying the jacket, but as it turns out she wanted to buy our stock in shoulder pads. Bless.

It never ceases to amuse me how people get hung up on their bodies. All these women that don't like a totally cool outfit, because you can see their giant gut. It's not like I have an acme eraser set on hand you know! At some points certain curves can't be covered up, no matter what you wear!

By now I've helped so many plus, plus, plus size women I honestly don't even notice when people are overweight. All I register is whether the clothing looks good on them or not. 

Rule of thumb if you're B&B: Don't buy what's fashionable, buy what makes you look good!
